Role

Challenge

90% of customers activate their accounts through the sales department

Goal

Make it easier for users to understand and navigate through the process of activating their account themselves

Solution

The solution involved a more visually-driven, user-friendly activation process with less reliance on text. We applied key design principles to break down the process into clear, manageable steps. A help box was also added for users who needed extra guidance. Additionally, we ensured that users could easily navigate to the activation process itself. The redesign resulted in a more intuitive and straightforward experience, which was tested with users afterward, showing significant improvements in both usability and overall satisfaction.

Progress bar

The navigation bar is designed to be interactive and easy to understand, ensuring users can effortlessly find and access the features they need.

shopping cart

When the user navigates through the activation page, they see a shopping cart thatare updated in real time, which gives a clear overview of what is included in theirchoice. The problems this shopping cart solves are mainly the ambiguities that arose inwhich choices the user had made, but also the difference in prices betweenannual/monthly payment and PRO/Business

Versions

To simplify decision-making and guide the user, we pre-selected the PRO version, as it's the most popular and the one tested during the trial period. The PRO option is highlighted with a lighter blue color and a filled radio button. Instead of overwhelming the user with a long list of features on the homepage, we opted for a minimalist design with brief explanatory texts and illustrations. Users can view specific features by clicking the "features included" button, which opens a dropdown menu showing a comparison list of the two versions.
